Whether "global warming" is man-made or not does not concern the purpose or goals of AGreenArizona.
In fact, we consciously avoid all the terminology that would alienate any individual, regardless of his/her views on the topic of "global warming". We just advocate and strive toward being more responsible toward and protective of the environment.
Why? Because protecting our environment and our planet resources should not be a political issue! Our mission is to educate and promote what individuals and businesses can do to lead environmentally-responsible practices that rely on sustainable principles.
In the process, we would like to raise funds to educate and help Arizona communities become more responsible toward the environment.
A Green Arizona was developed to become an agent of change. We do not want to wait for the government to take action. We firmly believe that the government cannot provide all the solutions.
In fact, we believe that often times when government gets involved to solve one thing, it contributes problems in other areas. We believe that we, the grassroots, can take action and make a significant impact.
In Arizona, we can set an example for the whole nation that the people in Arizona are taking initiative and charge to make their corner of the USA the greenest in the nation!

Who is behind AGreenArizona.org?
I am almost a native Arizona-an. I went to high school here, I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, and I am recently finished my graduate work.
I would like to remain anonymous, because I want to work behind the scenes and focus on the important issue, which is to spread the word about this website and figure out the best possible ways to make Arizona greener!
Why AGreenArizona.org?
While I created this site because I specifically care about the environment, the central theme behind this website can be applied to many areas of life.
It bothers me when people complain, but not take action. AGreenArizona.org is an example of doing something about what I feel is important.
I truly believe that only if more Americans take initiative, not expect the government to provide all the solutions, and exercise the privilege of living in the free enterprise system, we will continue to prosper and grow as a nation.
If you feel strongly about a cause, and would like to take a stand and make an impact, please do not hesitate to let me know, and I will gladly try to help.
